- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I started TMJ Splint treatment with Dr. Wendy Chen in February of 2016. I had somewhat severe TMJ symptoms (clicking and popping of the jaw, teeth grinding, and daily headaches). She explained that in order for the splint to work, I had to be willing to wear it in as much as possible. I choose to get immediate results and I started wearing it 24-7 (Yes, I ate with it in!). Within 2 weeks I started seeing results, within a few months my headaches were minimal and the popping/clicking was almost gone. After 6 months my headaches were gone! The popping and clicking is minimal now, but almost gone and definitely better than when I started. Understand that YOU are in charge of how quickly you will see results with the splint. If you are willing to put in the time and let the splint do its job, YOU WILL SEE RESULTS! Just remember it is all up to you! Dr. Chen and her staff are all amazing. They treat you like a friend, not just a case name or a file number. If you have TMJ symptoms, please go see Dr. Wendy Chen! You don’t have anything to loose, except maybe a headache! I have braces on at the moment, so I have paused my TMJ treatment. However, as soon as these brackets come off I’m getting a new splint!November 23, 2016by M H
